Voy a la escuela de Las Palmeras Golf hace 2 meses y los profesores me encantan. Son muy cercanos y pacientes a la hora de enseñar, y en cuanto a la dueña, Macu, todo un ejemplo de organización y profesionalidad.

This school had some great reviews on their Google page and so I thought to try them out while on vacation in Las Palmas. I can't speak to the quality of the dance classes but the application to enter the school is horrific.

If you've ever had experiences with Spanish bureaucracy applying for "tramites" you've probably seen systems more effective. The website and "web application" that they seem very proud of contains no actual information about registering for classes so I went to the school directly.

The signage makes the school relatively easy to find but no one is actually in the "reception" area and school is closed until 5 minutes before the classes begin. So next step try contacting the WhatsApp number and then have a person (or an ineffective chat bot) copying and pasting long strings of outdated text with incorrect information.

To be honest this is very lazy in my opinion and feels more like coversations with those old outdated chatbots of 2010 that didn't actually supply any useful information and still no infos about how to register, pricing or payment conditions only instructions that everyone has to register for a level test first.

OK, so one final try - log in to the clunky website application, register and after supplying my personal details realise the next appointment for the all important 5 minute level test is in one week.

I understand that maintaining correct level matching and follow/leader ratios is important for class dynamics but trying to register with ASB felt more like getting through a STASI border control than a dance school. The lack of any human support, transparent information or effective sign-up approaches soured the experience and gives the impression of arrogance boardering on pedanticism.

Overall I can't speak to the quality of the classes (maybe they are great) but given the headache of registering for what should be an enjoyable social activity I would rather recommend one of the many other great dance schools in Las Palmas that we did end up visiting and thoroughly enjoyed.

Hace 3 meses y medio que me apunté en la academia y todo es sobresaliente. La directora (Macu) la que más.
La profe Cristina es genial. Siempre con simpatía y paciencia para explicarnos los pasos.
La academia me encanta y los horarios muy variados para llegar al alcance de tod@s.
