Great shows. Here i saw: midsummer night's dream, government inspector, a series of public apologies, the moors, rhinocerous, and some drummer show. My all time favourite was the government inspector! I recommend.🤩
Great school, wonderful teachers, and wonderful people.
My daughter had a blast during her summer intensive week.
She already misses the place and her classmates.
Will be back next year and for Easter.
Fantástica!
Honestly THE BEST. I spend three years studying at this school for a BA honours in musical theatre. Not only did I have the most amazing experiences, meet the best of friends but I clearly learnt something because since leaving IAB I have worked non stop in the professional industry. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable, the studios are second to none, the production value is on par with professional projects and the schools values, general energy and location is to die for. So for any potential student reading some of these sad sabotaging reviews... ignore because lockdown has clearly got to them a little too much.
I loved my experience studying at the IAB. I’ve made life long friends and I’m continuing to have a successful career. Beautiful teachers who are tough enough on you to help you reach your potential and a stunning location!!
I honestly wouldn’t even give them one star. If you’re not serious about advancing your career and just want to have drinks in Spain then this is the school for you. In my opinion they are unprofessional and do nothing to prepare you for anything. Also a little racist but who wasn’t expecting that. Please go somewhere else if you love yourself.
I just graduated this academic year, (2020), and have really enjoyed my 3 years studying BA HONS Acting at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona. One of the best aspects about the university is the array of diverse international students, not to mention the international teachers that help make this a warm and friendly community.
Another great aspect about the university, if not the most remarkable characteristic, is the teachers. The teachers really push and generously spend their time to help the students prosper in their craft. With this, I would like to give a special thanks to the acting department, especially Drew Mulligan and Jonny Floyd who have made my time at the institute an unforgettable journey.
Spent three years studying on the BA Acting Course, graduated in 2019 and loved all of it. Felt very supported by all teaching staff who helped me develop as an actor. For a university that has not been open for a very long time they attract an incredible range of teachers and lecturers! Also the cultural mix of students is unbelievably wide.
I graduated two years ago from the BA(Hon) Acting program, and it was a great experience! I met some of the most wonderful people from all around the world, set the basis of my acting knowledge with very qualified, committed and caring teachers and achieved a perfect level of English, that is opening lots of doors for me at the moment! I would definitely recommend it to everyone:)
I graduated the BA Acting course and felt always very supported at IAB. The acting faculty were always extremely supportive and generous with their time, knowledge and passion. The acting course itself was extremely rigorous and I felt ready for the profession when it came to graduating and working in the industry afterwards.
Conosco questa scuola, insegnanti e studenti si impegnano con grande passione durante tutta la durata del percorso di studi. Ho visto alcuni spettacoli che mi sono piaciuti molto. Complimenti anche per l'ultimo lavoro.
I visited the Institute to see the play "Twelfth night" last Saturday. I was very impressed with the acting, costumes, and production. Thank you for the high quality of art you are doing!
I saw Twelfth Night on Saturday and I was very impressed with the actors and production. Amazing how even non-native speakers can remember all those lines, must have been months of rehearsals. Well done
Recomendado.
Excellant college. My daughter is entering her final year of a BAhons dance programme and has had the most amazing experience so far. Dedicated teachers, wonderful facility, hard working students all topped off with the most amazing surroundings!
Participated in what they meant was a "Masterclass" with some guy, which was acually a dancer, not an Actor.
We gathered in a auditorium where he started introducing us to the School, really just bragging about the location.
The topics went on and on, so I started asking some hard questions about the acting course specifically.
Questions like: how do you market your students to a carrer,- and so on,- And I didnt feel like I got any good answers at all.
Then a fellow of mine said that Id been accepted to Rose Bruford(which was true) and he started ranting about schools in the UK not beeing worth the money and the training not good enough.
And I tought that was kind of wierd since IAB hadnt even graduated a single actor at that time. Even more strange since Rose Bruford assisted in establishing the school(if im correct, not sure.)
Then he continued to rant about Rose Bruford and how their location is bad, in a bad neighbourhood, and apperently not worth going to. So I couldnt not ask where he went, right?
And he went to Bird(a dance school of some sort)
But he would never do that again.
And according to what he said, all the teachers in the UK wanted to teach at their institution, even the whole RADA staff.
If I wanted a serious Conservatory course, I personally, would not go there. But, if I wanted late night drinks in Spain, yes id go.
